This page tells you what data Sociami keeps about you, why, who can read it and how to have it deleted.

Who is responsible for your data
Sociami is published by the company named below. It decides how your data is used, and it is responsible for it.
If you have any question about your data, write to the address below. We answer within one month of your request at the latest.
Sec & CloudContact: contact@sociami.appThe data we keep
We only keep what is needed to make Sociami work.
- Your account: your email address, your first name or nickname if you give one, your language and your age range. Your password is stored in a form that nobody can read back, not even us.
- If you sign in with Google: the identifier that Google sends us, instead of a password.
- Your sessions: what you write and what you say during a simulation or a lesson, as text, with the AI's replies. Sociami does not record your voice: only the text of the conversation is kept.
- The reports of your sessions and where you are in your learning.
- Your progress: the situations you have worked on, your answers to quizzes, your practice days, your tiers.
- The situations from your own life that you tell us so you can replay them: your original text is not kept. Only a version from which we removed the names we recognise is kept.
- The sheets you generate, with the topic you wrote.
- Your settings: text size, level of support, goals.
- Your subscription: the plan you chose and its status. We never keep your card number.
- Technical data: the dates you sign in and the cost of the AI calls linked to your account.
Your conversations, your reports and where you are in your learning are encrypted in our database.
Why we use it
- To give you access to your account and protect it.
- To run the simulations, quizzes and lessons, and to produce the AI's replies.
- To show you your progress and suggest situations that suit you.
- To manage your subscription.
- To spot technical failures and misuse.
We use this data because it is needed for the service you asked for. Sharing with your household's guardian depends on your agreement, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Sociami is a practice tool, not a medical device: we do not make any diagnosis.
Who can read your data
- You.
- The guardian of your household, only if you have joined a household and agreed to share with them. They then see your progress only: streak, practice calendar and tiers. Never your simulations or your session reports. The “Feel like talking?” conversations have their own rule, described further down. You can withdraw this agreement in your settings: access is cut straight away.
- The Sociami team, to run the service and answer your requests. In its admin tool, the team sees what an account did and on what date, not what was said or written. The only exception: the free conversation “Feel like talking?”, described further down.
“Feel like talking?”: the free conversation
This service is not open to every account. If it is offered to you, here is what changes for your data.
- What we keep: the text of your conversations with the AI, whether you wrote or spoke, your mood before and after if you give it, and a short summary of each conversation. Your voice is not recorded.
- The summary helps the AI remember the essentials next time. You can read these summaries and erase them, one by one or all at once, in “What the AI remembers”.
- Duration: the text of a conversation is erased after 30 days, its summary after 90 days. You can delete a conversation before then.
- Who can read these conversations: you; the guardian of your household, only if the permission you gave them says so explicitly; the Sociami team.
- Every reading by your guardian or by the Sociami team is recorded in a log.
Reading by the Sociami team is an exception: for everything else in Sociami, the team does not read what you say or write.
The text and the summaries are encrypted in our database.
In this service, the AI greets you by your first name: the first word of the first name or nickname on your account is sent to it.
The companies that receive data
To work, Sociami relies on other companies. Each one only receives what it needs for its task.
- OpenRouter: produces the AI's written replies. It receives the text of the current conversation.
- Google (Gemini): produces the AI's spoken replies. It receives your voice and the text of the conversation during the session.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google: it confirms who you are.
- Stripe: takes payments. It receives your email address and your payment details.
- OVHcloud: hosts our servers and our database.
- Cloudflare: protects the site and makes it load faster. Your requests go through its network.
Before a conversation is sent to the AI, a filter removes the names and contact details it recognises. The filter does not recognise everything: avoid giving someone's full name, address or phone number.
The topic of a sheet you ask for is sent to the AI exactly as you wrote it.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. So some data may be processed outside the European Union.
How long we keep it
- As long as your account exists, your data is kept so that you can find your sessions and your progress again.
- When you ask to delete your account, it is made anonymous straight away, then permanently deleted 30 days later.
- When you delete a sheet, its content is erased. Only its date remains.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- ask for a copy of your data;
- have wrong information corrected;
- have your account and your data deleted;
- receive your data in a file you can use somewhere else;
- withdraw your agreement to share with the guardian of your household, in your settings;
- object to a use of your data, or ask for it to be limited.
To use one of these rights, write to the address below. We answer within one month of your request at the latest.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the data protection authority of your country.
Sec & CloudContact: contact@sociami.appIf you are under 18
Sociami is also for children and teenagers. We ask for your age range to adapt the content, never your date of birth.
If you are younger than the age at which your country lets you sign up on your own (between 13 and 16 in Europe), ask a parent or legal guardian to read this page and create the account with you.
When this page changes
If we change how we use your data, we update this page and change the date shown at the top.
